Here’s a quick post with a few things we’ve been up to this week. As well as nights out, the amazing EIAP (Echanges Internationaux A Paris) have been organising all sorts of trips for us to discover more of Paris, whilst making new friends.
This was organised by the Erasmus association. We took a little tour of the surrounding part of town, before arriving at the jardin. Very pretty place, I’d recommend it when the sun is shining to appreciate it fully. Also, there’s a small zoo, which was a nice little surprise!
This was also a part of the same visit from above, and our group unfortunately didn’t get to see the Mosque as it was closed, but we did get to have some Moroccan mint tea from the restaurant. The room was beautiful!
On Sunday, my fellow Warwick pal and I went to visit the Sacre-Coeur. He is here on an internship, so it was nice to catch up whilst attempting to get cultured too. We didn’t climb the stairs (woops) but your Navigo card works for the lift, so I didn’t feel too bad about it. But before we did that, we got sucked into the tourist trap of one of those little tour trains right outside… I wouldn’t recommend it. We barely really saw anything, and in comparison to those other trains I’ve done before, it was probably the worst.
We then went back to the 7th (where Raj lives) and we got a drink at this really cool boat/bar place… I’ve forgotten the name but the nearest metro is Invalides.
Sophie also did some walking around yesterday and took some pretty awesome photos.
