Good music, and a very underwhelming slide- what more could you want from a night out?
If you’re looking for a classic Erasmus night out, with a club full of students from basically every European city ever, then look no further than Mix Club, in Montparnasse.
It’s free entry before 12 (excellent for students), but also it is €10 for entry after that- significantly better than the usual €20 cover charge I’ve heard about.
I have only been twice (around 2 weeks ago), but they were both really good nights out. I’d say you should definitely give it a go- Thursdays seem to be the big nights there.
Music wise, it’s just your usual club stuff, with the occasional cheesy Pop track, which you really do learn to appreciate if you’ve got enough alcohol in your system. When recalling the night the next day, we had plenty of laughs when realising that at one point the music went from Fetty Wap “Trap Queen”, and then cut straight to Celine Dion’s “I Will Always Love You”…
Now here’s the bad boy you’ve all been waiting for, and to put it in Chandni’s exact words: “A FUCKING SLIDE IN THE CLUB!”.
Be warned, it is incredibly shit. But then again, I don’t know why I was expecting some sort of roller-coaster/theme park-esque slide in the middle of a club.
I don’t really have much else to say, except that they are really annoying about checking your coat! You won’t really get away with tying your jacket around your waist, so mentally prepare yourself to part with €2.
