A very cool bar that we visited a few weeks ago. It’s also a restaurant and a club, but we went down into the basement for drinks and a live show.
I know I always say how great the decor is in each and every bar I go to, blah blah, same old, same old- but this place was really, really cool. It was definitely a nice surprise, as when they ushered us down the flights of stairs, I wasn’t really expecting too much of this basement.
My favourite part had to be the live show- I’ve never experienced something like that before. I felt like I was in some kind of movie with the saxophones, and the soul feel- it definitely made for a good night. There were French and English songs. We also got up to dance for a short while- despite the limited space by the stage. That was probably the only downside- it was quite cramped downstairs. But everyone is seated, so it doesn’t feel as bad as being in downstairs Smack in Leamington…
The drinks were great, we all enjoyed them (despite there only being one drink in the photo, ha). You should definitely go at Happy Hour though, otherwise it will end up being an unexpectedly expensive night. The Happy Hour times are 17h-20h. You can also order food even if you are seated downstairs.
All in all, it was the perfect place for a chilled Friday evening.
